Staying in China for 2 months in Zhuhai

Hello, I am travelling to china for a business trip and would like to bring my wife with me. We have a company supplied rental apartment for us in Zhuhai and my wife would like to visit Hong Kong and Macau every now and then on days that I am working, for shopping sprees, tourism etc. We don't know how many times we will enter and leave Hong Kong and Macau which makes it confusing. Is this sort of situation possible with a visa? We haven't been to Asia before.

Also, should she apply for a tourist L if she is coming with me on a business trip but only to accompany me?

Thank you!

Hi, Australian passport holders are allowed to enter HK and Macao freely, but a multiple entry Chinese visa is required if she will enter mainland China frequently. BTW, tourist L is issued to tourist only according to the new regulation. I am not sure if she is able to get the S type as spouse of M/F holder. So, better contact the CVASC for the latest information.

Hi Cary,

Thank you for your advice. I just spoke with the Chinese consulate in my city, and they said that I will have had to have been in China twice in the past 12 months to apply for a multiple entry. So I COULD apply for a double-entry one and apply for a multiple entry in Hong Kong?

Would this be possible?

You can apply for a double entry one with document such as flight tickets and hotel bookings. At present, it is possible to get one in HK, but for multiple entries, it is issued to HK residents only.
