About:Guangzhou East Railway Station

I'm coming from Changsha on the 5pm train and it gets to Guangzhou South at 735pm and Shenzhen North at 815pmm.

From one of those 2 stations, I need to get to my hotel (by public tranport) near Tsim Sha Tsui station, going through one of the border crossings into Hong Kong. So, which of those 2 stations should I get off at to get me to my hotel sooner? I need to let the hotel know my approximate time of arrival.

You should get off at Shenzhen North. Upon arrival, use the local public transportation to Shenzhen Luohu. Then cross the immigration border to Lo Wu, HK to take East Rail line to Hung Hom. Then you can transfer to West Rail to East TST to walk to your hotel near TST or take a taxi to travel from Hung Hom to your hotel directly.

Generally, it takes around half an hour by taxi from Shenzhen North to Luohu. Crossing the border takes atround half an hour. Then the East Rail line takes around 45min to Hung Hom.
