About:Guangzhou Metro

what is best way to travel from Guangzhou south railway station to Baiyun Airport?

We have 5 people (2 children) with 2 big luggages and 5 cabin suitcases. We will travel at mid-day (not peak hour) in mid October. What is the best travel method: subway, bus, or taxi? How long it takes and approximate cost for each method, please? Thank you very much.

As for your case, with kids and many luggages, taxi should be the best choice. And you may need two. It may cost CNY150 or a little more per taxi. The whole journey takes around 50min.

Well, you can also use the local MTR. At South Train Station MTR Station, take subway line 2 to Jiahewanggang, where transfer to line 3 to the airport directly. It takes around 1.5h for the MTR journey.

Thank you. Do you know if there is big taxi, like the 7-seater car, in China? Coz the possibility of taking 2 taxis is not very appeal to me.

And also, how's about the airport shuttle bus? Is there one from GZ south railway station?

Many thanks.

I'm afraid there is no such large-accommodation taxi in GZ, unless you rent a car to transfer you all.

No direct airport shuttle bus can take you from the South Station to airport directly.

Anyway, if you don't mind the inconvenience, you can also use the MTR. Take subway line 2 at South Station to Jiahewanggang, where transfer to line 3 to the airport directly.

Iwould suggest you to take the subway as it is safe and convenience. Taking two taxi is not recommended.
