Misspelled name

Good day
I've been to china for four years. I just got back to Pakistan to for a short vacay. I applied for a chinese visa and just claimed it, unfortunately the last letter of my name is incorrect. Would they correct it? would they just issue a letter to prove it's just a typo error? or if yes how long would it take? I'm leaving in a week, the embassy is 4 hours away from my city! Have you ever experienced the same mistake before? Thanks

I am afraid you need to visit the embassy again. Because applicants are responsible to check the information on it when collet it from the consular office and raise questions right at there if there is any problem. So, I don't think they can issue you a letter for this, and you may need to apply for a new visa instead.
