Hello. I am a US citizen visiting Greece for business and will stay until September.I will visit China in October for business after returning to the US.

Due to the new regulations issued on July 1, 2013, it's getting difficult to apply in the third country unless you have work or residence permit. I don't know if you can get it successfully. You may try to apply from the embassy in Greece.
