About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

72 Hour Visa for return trip only?

Hi. I'm an Australian passport holder, but living in Mongolia. I need to renew my visa, and thinking of doing this in Beijing. Am I able to get the 72 hour free transit if I am flying from Ulaanbaatar-Beijing / Beijing-Ulaanbaatar? So not transiting to another flight, but just coming direct to China and return.

No, this free transit policy does not apply to single return trip. You need to apply for a Chinese visa for this visit.
