About:Shanghai Travel

im a UK resident travelling to Vietnam transiting through China. Do I need a Visa?

I'm flying into Shanghai with a UK airline. To then 5hrs later fly onto Hanoi with Vietnam airlines. Do I need a transiting visa? I will not be leaving the airport.
