About:Chinese Consulate in Chicago

I am interested in getting a Chinese visa to visit for tourism on the weekends while I'm in Hong Kong.

Hi,

I will be studying abroad in Hong Kong at HKUST this fall. My friend, who is joining me at HKUST, says she got denied her visa because she didn't have her plane ticket and hotel reservation. Am I eligible to apply for it, and if so, which one would work best for me? Also, what documents should I fill out and bring with me to Chicago if I can apply for it? I leave for Hong Kong in 2 weeks!

Thanks,

Eric
