About:Shuhe Ancient Town

Lijiang to Lugu to Shangrila

Hi there, my friend and I want to stay in Shuhe Ancient Town the first day, then go to Lugu Lake for another night, and then to Shangrila for two nights. We are flying in and out of the LJ Airport. What is the best way to go to these three places? We both speak fluent Mandarin.

Right now, our plan is to:
1. land in and stay for one night
2. Take bus to Lugu Lake and stay for one night
3. Take bus back, and then to Shangrila and stay for two nights
4. Take bus back, and then fly out

What is your advice?

I think your plan is good and other better choice you can use.
From Central Bus Station, you can take buses at 09:00 and 10:00 to reach Lugu Lake and the bus to the lake takes about 6 to 7 hours. So you will reach the lake in the afternoon.
From the lake, you need to go back to LJ first. Then time may be suitable for you to catch the last bus for the Shangri-la. The bus for Shangri-al will cost you about three hours to four hours.
If you can speak fluent mandarin, your travel will be much convenient. If you have any problems, you can turn to get help from the hotel you live in and I am sure you can get kind help from local people.
Hope you can enjoy your trip in those wonderful places.
