Backpacking for 15 days via Russia

Hi, for tourist application, now general requirements are flight ticket and hotel bookings. If you visit by train, the train ticket is acceptable. You can also try to book a hotel for one or two nights for your stay after arrival if bookings for the whole trip can not be arranged in advance.

Hi, thank you for your quick response. The trouble is I do not know when I will be arriving in China (or Russia) I intend on booking train ticket upon arrival. And as per my normal fashion-- I only book accomidations for one night just before I arrive.

What would you suggest then?

If possible, you can try to provide an detailed travel itinerary instead, with financial support like a bank statement. I think it will be easier if you provide visas to other countries as you travel through.
