About:Chinese Consulate in San Francisco

Passport renewal....Seattle ?

Hello,
My Chinese passport has lapsed and I can not find the original......only a copy. I live in Washington State. Is there any way I can get a new passport by mail or at least in person in Seattle ? If I have to go to San Francisco, can I get a firm appointment date and time ? Can it be done in one visit ? Can I take care of all or most of the paperwork in advance to appearing at the consulate ? thank you

Hey, you need to apply for a new one from the Chinese consulate in San Francisco in person. You don't need to make an appointment. It's unsure how many days you need to wait after you submit your application.

If your orginal one becomes invalid, you need to provide these documents: a filled Chinese passport application form, 4 recent (six months) passport size photos (48mmx33mm) in white or blue background, documents that can prove your nationality (birth certificate, Chinese ID card etc), original and copy of the resident permit in the US and other documents required by the consulate.
