I want to travel from Shenzhen to Hong Kong airport

Ferry is most suggested. The first ferry leaves Shekou port at 07:45 and arrives at HKIA at 08:15. Time is sufficient to catch your plane.

As I know, passengers of some airlines can check in ahead at Shekou Port. So would you mind telling me your airline? Then I can check it for you.

I am looking to do the same thing at the same time but I looked at this page https://www.travelchinaguide.com/cityguides/guangdong/shenzhen/shekou-port-ferry.htm and it said that the first ferry now leaves at 9.00 am on sat and sun...can anyone confirm this?

I think you may confused. If you want to travel from Shekou to HKIA, the first ferry is at 07:45 at Shekou.
If you want to travel from Shekou to Hong Kong Macau Ferry Terminal at Sheung Wan, the first ferry is at 07:45. And the 07:45 ferry is adjusted to 09:00am on Saturdays and Sundays.
