About:China Transit Visa

Standby onward flight to USA for 72 hours visa free transit.

Hello. Just wondering i work for American Airlines as flight attendant. I am currently in the philippines but will be coming back to the USA on the 12th. I am going to be on standby passenger from Shanghai to Chicago is this going to be a problem transiting thru china considering that I don't have a confirmed onward flight? I will be a non-revenue passenger in our airline and will only be issued a confirmed seat after all revenue passengers have been accomodated. Please let me know as soon as u can. Thanks

I am afraid that you might not enjoy the 72 hours free transit at Shanghai Airport. When you land at Shanghai airport, you need to provide your passport, connecting air ticket and visa (if required) for the third country or region. I guess that you won't have the connecting air ticket when you land at Shanghai Airport, right?

If you still have doubt, please contact Shanghai Airport Immigration Inspection at 0086-21-51105100 for more information.
