About:Hong Kong Visa Application

Transit visa requirement to fly through Hongkong for a sri lankan passport holder

I am a sri lankan passport holder living in canada with a permanent residense statusi.Do i require a transit visa while transiting through hongkong to sri lanka

Yes, you need to apply for a transit one. You should prepare: completed ID1003A application form, recent passport size photo, copy of your passport info page, copy of your travel itinerary to your next destination and your financial statement.

It is conflicting, one says only over 24 hrs stopover needs the transit visa. Which is correct?

No matter how long you transit there, you need to apply for a transit visa in advance.
