About:Beijing Capital Airport T2

Pick up and recheck luggage in 2 hours in Terminal 2 in Beijing Airport

We want to arrive from USA on Delta at 2:40, pick up luggage, then check bags on China Southern for 42:0 flight (saves $200 each to book separate flights rather than connecting flights) Is this doable timewise?

If you plan to make an international to international transfer, the time is absolutely enough.
If you plan to make an international to domestic transfer, the time may be tight. But if you can be hurry, you can still catch up the next flight.
