how to enjoy the park in 1 day from zhangjiajie city (yijiaqin hotel)

Question

We will take a taxi from our hotel in the city to the entrance of the park. Once we enter the park, what is a nice route to follow for 2 older ladies with cameras? We will arrive very early in the morning, and we have all day to explore. We want to walk a little, and take a bus a little (a mix of both). Where do we exit? Are there taxis to take us back to the city or can we request our taxi to wait for us all day? Is this normal?

There are so many fascinating attractions in the park. One day is not enough to cover them all. I suggest you stay for at least two days. Anyway, you can walk into for Golden Whip Stream visiting first, which is around 300m from the main entrance of the park. Then Ten Miles Gallery and Tianzishan, which can be reached by cable car. Huanglong Cave should not be missed as well. Well, you can also take the scenic  area eco-battery cart, you can have a genral visit.Generally, a taxi will not wait for you all day unless you pay a lot. Don't worry! It is not that hard to take a taxi to return to the city. Or as a optional choice, you can negotiate with your taxi driver for the coming journey to pick you up at cetain time at night.

That is good news to hear! We were hoping to find a taxi when we were finished visiting the park. We intend to walk in as far as we can, and then take the shuttle bus back to the original entrance and then take a taxi back to the hotel. If we have time after visiting Tianmenshan, we will take another taxi to Baofeng Lake and go on a boat if it is possible. We might have to hire a private guide with car to take us everywhere, it might be more convenient?

Yes, a rented private car can be more convenient. And do you know you can take the cable car near ZJJ Railway Station to the top of Tianmenshan? Just remembered and for your reference.
