About:Beijing Travel

are taxi easily available from the beijing airport to hotel ?

is fare pre paid or by meter only ?
how much reliable are the taxi drivers ? do they take a longer route or any wayz they try to cheat us ? what precautions should we take ?
any other mode of travelling from airport to hotel ? how good is the frequeny of shuttle ? is it very crowded ?
where exactly is BJ railway station to catch a bullet train for shanghai ?

Yes, sure. Taxi shall be convenient; however, you may need to line up at PEK for a taxi as there may be many people intending to catch.

To avoid being cheated, you'd better tell the driver to charge by meter. In Chinese, it should be like this "你好,请打表计费".

Aside from taxi, you can make full use of Airport Express Train and shuttle buses, which also are very convenient. I'd like to tell you that the shuttle buses are in good frequency and the interval is usually within 20min. During peak hours, they may be more frequent, so there is no need to worry about its being crowded.

Well, the bullet trains for Shanghai usually leave from BJ South Railway Station, which can be reached by taking shuttle bus line 10.
