About:Entry Regulations of China

I am flying from Frankfurt to Bangkok via China and have a 12 hour wait in between for the connecting flight.

Are there any specific visa requirements if I wish to leave the airport to go sightseeing or do I have to stay in the airport?

Which airport do you wait for the connecting flight.
Currently, if you make transfer in Beijing and Shanghai Pudong Airports no more than 72 hours, the visa is not needed if you want to get out of the airport.
If you want to enjoy this service, you need to contact your airline company before your departure.

Hi Richard, Thanks for your reply. The connecting airport is PEK so will contact the airline before departure.
Thanks again.
