Any way to get to here from Badaling?

I just seize the gist of your question. Anyway, if you do mean the best/recommended season to visit, every Apr. May, Sep. and Oct. are most suggested.

Here's my actual question.
Is there a way to get to Mutianyu from Badaling? If so, how long does it take and how much does it cost (assuming that taxi is the only mode). If there are shuttle buses, that would also be some great information.

Hi, there is no direct bus or shuttle running between the two sections of walls. If by bus, it is suggested to take bus no. 919 to Yanqingnan Caiyuan General bus stop, where you need to transfer to bus no. H60 (Yanqing) to get off at Yujiayuan Station. Then at this station, you can catch bus no. 867 to Mutianyu directly. The whole journey takes around 3h and the bus fare may be a little more than CNY10.

If you take a taxi, it may cost more than CNY230.
