I have contacted Beijing General Station of Exit and Entry Frontier Inspection for this days ago. They told me yes as I will fly from USA to HK with stopover via Beijing.0

Thank you, I appreciate the help. Do by chance still have the # you call because the one I found isnt working.
I have one more question, what does the airline need from me, what kind of notification(what, when, how) if any, so I wont have any problems at the airport.0

Hi, you should dial 86 before the tel number. You should inform your airline about the transit need before boarding the plane to China and fill a form. It required straightforward information such as name, gender, passport number and issuer, and flight number. The free transit permit will be issued upon your arrival.0
