About:Shanghai City-Bus

Shanghai to Mt Jiuhuashan and Mt Putoshan

Please advise : My intended destination will be to Buddhist Mt Jiuhuashan and Mt Putoshan. Where should I head to first on arriving at Pudong airport. Where is the bus station and the ferry terminal that goes to Mt Jiuhuashan and Putoshan respectively. Thank you.

It is suggested to go to Putuoshan directly.
To reach Putuoshan, you can go to the local south long-distance bus station to take the bus to reach Shenjiamen Bus Station. Then take taxi to reach local Banshendong Port to take the ferry to reach Putuoshan directly.
To reach Jiuhuashan, you can take bus from Gaosu Bus Station at No. 1015, North Zhongshan Road to reach Guichi and then change a local bus to reach Jiuhuashan directly.

Is South Long distance bus stn located within Pudong Airport, n by estimate how many hours travelling time do I need to set aside for travelling by bus and ferry to arrive at Putosan?
Can I reach Jiuhuashan by train as the travelling time by bus from Gaosu stn is approx 6 hrs. Details appreciated.

The south long distance bus station is not located with the airport and you can take the airport shuttle bus line 7 to reach the south bus station in about an hour.
From the south bus station, the buses to reach Shenjiamen takes about 4 to 4.5 hours. Then to Putuoshan, the ferry takes about half an hour.
There is no trains from Jiuhuasha from SH, so it is still suggested to take the bus directly.
