Do I need visa to China

I am originally from Hong Kong and living in Canada and will travel to China in October 2013.
I am holding an entry permit issued by China Travel Agency in Hong Kong and a Canadian passport.
Do I need one to enter Shanghai/Beijing?

Is the entry permit "回乡证"? if yes, you can use it to visit Shanghai/Beijing.
