About:Macau Travel Tips

Hi I am shortly visiting Macau and from there i am going to Hong kong.

i am staying at Macau Ole London Hotel and have 1 day visit at Macau. I plan to leave early in morning by about 8 am for HK to vist hK where i am there for 3 days. I am booked in a hotel in Mong Kok area of HK. I have the following queries:-
1. What bus/ mode of transporttion is best from Ole London Hotel to jetty? what is the bus no that goes to jetty?
2. which jetty (name) should i go to? how much time does it take to go to this jetty?
3. What time does the ferry goes to Mong kok? how much does it cost and can i buy ticket at the time i reach as that will give me flexibility with small kids? will they accept chinese yuan for payment? if not is there exchange facility nearby or should i get the money exchanged the previous day?
4. From the jetty how much time time does it take to reach Mong kong MTR. my hotel is near to that? what MTR/ bus should i catch and how much is the fare?
5. I plan to visit Disneyland the first day along with adjoining area Ngong Ping 360. Is it feasible considering our travel from Macau to HK, then checking in hotel, then moving to Disneyland?
6. From Mong kon MTR how do i travel to disney land. which lines to change and where? how much is the fare and how much time will it take?
7. How do i move from Disneyland to Ngong Ping 360? which MTR/ BUS and how much is the fare?
8. How much time should i keep for Ngong Ping 360 at a comfortable pace?
9. from Ngong Ping 360 how do i move back to MONG KON MTR station? Which MTR/ bus and how much time will it take?
10. Is thera ny thing nearby to explore, i think it will be too hectic a day with small kids and may not have enough energy left to explore in night
11. I shallcome back for second and third day itinerary later
thanks and regards.

From your hotel, you can easily want to Ponte16SofitelHotel where you can find the free shuttle bus to reach local Outer Harbour Ferry Terminal in about 10 minutes.

It takes about an hour from the terminal to reach China Ferry Ferry Terminal at TST area in about an hour. The ferry price is around 147 to 184HK$ per person and childern under 12 years old can get a discount. You can buy the ferry tickets at spots. They only accept the HK$, so you need to exchange it in advance.

From the China Ferry Terminal, you can take a taxi to reach your hotel directly in about 10 minutes. Or you can walk to reach Tsim Sha Tsui Station to take the Tsuen Wan Line to reach Mong Kok. Taking MTR takes about 5HK$.

Since you take your childern, you will be in a hurry if you want to go to Disneyland and Ngong Ping 360 on the first. It is suggested to go to Ocean Park on the first day.

From Mong Kok Station, you can take the Tsuen Wan Line to reach Lai King where you can change to Tung Chung Line to reach Sunny Bay Station. At this statin, you can find the Disneyland Resort Line to reach Disneyland directly. The fare is 20.5HK$ and takes about 35 minutes.

From Disneyland, you can take the Resort Line to reach the Sunny Bay Station where you can change to Tung Chung Line to reach Tung Chung Station. There you can find the station of Ngong Ping 360. The fare is 14HK$. It takes about 2 to 3 hours to enjoy the Ngong Ping 360. After finishing travel, you can go back as the way you go there.

Near Tsim Sha Tsui area, it is hard to find attractions for kids, I am afraid.

Hope these information can help you.

Dear Jenny, thanks a ton for clearing so many of my doubts and point wise reply. Are you suggesting that taking disneyland and Ngong Ping 360 trip one day 2 and cover Ocean world and adjoining areas on day 1 as we shall be late. Could you suggest other areas to cover along with ocean world which are nearby/ close by to cover on day one.
Thanks a ton

Yes, I mean that. You can cover the Ocean Park and adjoining areas on day one and then go to the Ngong Ping 360 and Disneyland on the other day.
I think you can take the bus 629 from the Admiralty West to reach Ocean Park directly. The after you come back, you can take the bus to reach central and then visit the Peak if time is possible on day one.

From Mong Kok Station, you can take the Tsuen Wan Line to reach Admiralty Station. Then you can walk to reach Admiralty West to take bus 629 to reach Ocean Park directly.
After visiting the Ocean Park, I think the time will in at late afternoon or even in the evening. So it is sugested to take the bus 629 to reach Central and the walk to reach the Peak to enjoy the wonder night scenery of HK.
It will not be so tired after the Disneyland, so I think you can still have energy to shopping on the 3rd day. I think you can shop for a while and then have a rest. Later you can keep on shopping.
