About:Chinese Embassy in Malaysia

6 months cycling in China.

Can i get a 6 month visa? If not can I get a double entry that allows me 120 days on each entry?

Hi Paul, you can fill your request to the application form, but the consular officer will make the final decision according to the documents provided. If you want to stay for 6 months, you are suggested to prepare a detailed travel itinerary, tickets and hotel reservations if possible as supporting material.

thanks for the reply Bill.Unfortunately the nature of cycle touring is freedom and not having a fixed itinerary and not even knowing where you are going to be that evening thus a full list of hotels etc defeats the objective.

but generally, a tourist L can only be issued with 30 days as duration of stay, you can apply for extension one week before it expires within the city you live. As to my knowledge, the L can only be extended twice only with 30 days each. So, that is 90 days in total. If you want to stay for 6 months there, you may have to provide as many as you can as supporting documents.
