Evening arrival in Macau and where to stay?

Hi, we'll be arriving macau airport 8:55pm. Can you give us idea where is the best place to check in a hotel since its night time. Is it in Cotai Strip, Taipa Island, or Downtown area? Are there still available bus or any transportation at that time going to the hotel or perhaps they offer a free shuttle bus going to their hotel? On our second day, please give us sample itinerary for the whole day, and we like ending up at night in one of the casinos in macau , Venetian Hotel. On the third day, any suggestions to shop a good bargain and places to go for good food, since we are already leaving at 11pm. So please suggest places near the airport so we wont be late for the evening flight. hope to hear from you. thank you

Since you plan to travel around that city, it is suggested to live in downtown area. Thus, Sintra is suggested to live.
From the airport to that hotel, you can still find the buses at 08:55pm. But MT1 or MT2 can take you to reach that hotel.
On the second, you may travel by following this route: Avenida de Almeida Ribeiro - Senado Square - Ruins of St Paul - Ama Temple - Fisherman's Wharf - the Sands - Macau Tower - the City of Dream - Venetian.
There is a flea market near the Ruins of St. Paul, so you can go there. For food, I think you can find a lot of food to taste along the Avenida de Almeida Ribeiro.
