About:Chinese Embassy in Australia

staying in accommodation in mainland. Would like to go visit Hong Kong too.

Hi,
I was wondering what is the procedure in order to stay in mainland and regularly visit Hong Kong?
Is there a multi entry one which enables me to go between mainland and Hong Kong?
It seems so complicated when it's basically part of the same country....?
Regards,
Leigh.

You can stay in HK for 90 days at most with valid passport. So I don't think you need it to visit HK if you have a valid passport.

Thanks Ellen,

So what you're saying is I can stay in mainland, get the relevant one and come and go into Hong Kong within the 90 day window?

Leigh.

If you have valid residence permit in mainland PRC, you can visit HK and re-enter mainland any time you like. That is true you can enter HK for multiple times with your passport becuase you enjoy visa exemption there for 90 days.
