There is no high speed train between the two cities and only the K-trains exist.
The K-trains takes about 13 to 14 hours on the way.

I have been informed it should start this week.20th December 2014 Not 100% sure as I have seen no news on the internet as yet...My daughter showed me a Nanning to Guangzhou train ticket on her phone stating the HST number.D560 and the price of 171 RNB one way for a second class seat..Let's hope this happens as it will be a great advantage for people traveling to Guangzhou from Nanning....Dave

I'm in Nanning just about to book the NEW high speed train between the two. Will take about 3.5 hours to do that journey now.
