About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

Can I use 72 hour visa to re-enter China from Thailand?

I am a UK citizen travelling to Shanghai for 14nights with a single entry L on July 5th. I want to go to Thailand on July 12th until July 17th. On July 17th I want to go back into Shanghai for 2 nights, then I will leave on July 19th to go home to the UK.
Can I use the 72 hour transit permit to come back into Shanghai on July 18th?

Yes, sure if you fly from Thailand with a ticket leaving from Shanghai to UK booked in advance.
