How do I request a transit permit from the airline (at what time0?

Flying Air Astana from Kazakhstan to BJ. 2 day layover then via AirCanada to Canada. Which airline do I request permit from? and how? and when?

Please inform Air Astana about your transit request before you take the flight to BJ. Generally, you will be given a form to be filled out so that the airline can email your information to the BJ airport. You will get the permit upon arrival then.
