i am traveling to china shortly and i was wanting to take more than 5000 cash is this possible

What kind of currency would you take? If it is Chinese yuan, you can take at most 20,000RMB, so it would be fine. If it is USD, it is allowed to take at most 5,000 USD cash. For the extra amount, you need to declare I remember.0
