About:FAQ of Chinese Visa Application

requirement: RT tickets in/out of China?

Hi -- We are US citizens seeking a 90 day 2-entry or multi-entry visa with the following itinerary:
Bali to Beijing (one way airplane tix)
Beijing to Tokyo (one way airplane tix)
Osaka to Shanghai by ferry (one way ferry tix - not purchased yet)
Shanghai to Guilin/Yangshuo (one way train tix - not purchased)
Guilin to HK?
Question 1: The application requires a copy of the "round-trip ticket", can we just give them a copy of our flight to Beijing and our flight to Tokyo? Or do we have to give them our full itinerary in order to get a 2 entry or multi-entry?
Question 2: If we need to give them our full itinerary, do we have to buy a ticket to HK (more expensive) to show we are leaving the country or can we give them a copy of a ticket from Guilin to Shenzhen and explain that we will take a bus to HK?

If you want to get a double or multiple entry one, you should provide tickets of full itinerary including ferry ticket to Shanghai (the second entry) and flight ticket to HK (exit).

It is ok if you provide a copy of ticket from Guilin to Shenzhen with explaination. Tourist Agenda is necessary in this case.
