I have a friend in Hunan province, Changde, that want to visit me. She will stay with me and I will provide all her expenses while she is here. I need to know where she should apply for a solo tourist visa and how she can obtain the forms for application.

Hi, US consulate in Wuhan does not provide visa service at present. She can apply either from US embassy in Beijing or the consulate in Chengdu or Shanghai. Make an online appointment for interview and application.

Hi Jim......I am in the same boat. I want to help bring over a Chinese friend on a tourist visa. Besides the cost of the ticket and visa, I was told they would need a BTA ( basic travel allowance) before being granted a visa and that I would have to send over to the agency the funds but that would be returned to me when my friend came here with the money in the form of travelers checks........There are so many scams on the internet I don't know what to believe or whether the travel agency is legit.....any advice?
