Where are you now? If you are in South Korea, you can apply for it in Chinese embassy. If you are in New Zealand, go to the consulate in your consular area to submit your application. You should provide these documents: passport (valid at least six months and with two blank pages), a filled application form affixed with a recent passport size photo, invitation letter from any authorized Chinese organization, company, Chinese individual. If you can't offer the invitation letter, you should offer round-trip air tickets and hotel reservation bill in China. Besides, proof of your travel insurance covering your stay in China, a recent bank statement or a letter from your bank stating your current balance, employment letter or evidence of stable income and proof of sufficient funds for the duration of stay, a minimum of USD $100 per day per person are needed too.
