visa free transit request

Question

I am flying united and they are not familiar with the policy and therefore will not let me fly. Is there a form that I need to have or another type of documentation?

I am afraid you have to apply for a transit G in advance. You can try to contact the airport directly if they can provide a form/confirmation of visa exemption for this transit. Tel: 0086-10-56095400 Capital Airport, or 0086-21-51105100 if you plan to transit through Shanghai Pudong or Hongqiao Airport.
