How much would a taxi be from Xinyuan Beijing Hotel to the US Embassy? Or should I take subway?

I am trying to get from
Xinyuan Beijing Hotel which the address says:
No.6 Shifangyuan, Haidian District 100036 to the Liangmaqiao Station to get to the US Embassy on Dongfang Lu. What is the best way to get there? I would prefer a taxi if it is faster, but what would the price and time comparison be?
