advantages and disadvantages of ancient chinese philosphy

The ancient Chinese philosphy taught students and people how to be a good person, but it limited people's thinking methods. This is the point I know.

Advantages:
1. It well encourages people to study hard to change their fate, especially people fro poor families.
2. It stressed moral education more. Therefore, people were always taught to be upright anf filial when they were young. In their mind, to respect the seniors, their parents and protect the young were obligations.

Disadvantages:
1. The content of education was too narrow, just including the Four Books and Five Classics. Peole could not know more of the world.
2. Many people spent their whole life in passing the eaxms to get a position in court. It really spoiled a lot of intelligent and ambitious scholars.

ADVANTAGES
1.Encouraged on good morality due to its philosophical approach manner
2.It mostly encouraged learners to be industrious
