Trip from Beijing to Ulan Butor

I'm planning to catch the train from Beijing to Ulan Butor, I understand the train leaves Beijing every Sat, can't wait till Sat, so can I catch the one to Moscow that leaves on every Wed? If yes, can I just pay for the ticket to Ulan Butor? Is it the same price as the one that goes to Ulan Butor on Sat?
