hi i want to know something related to transport card in Beijing and Shanghai?

hi we are three person that traveling to the BJ for 3 days and SH for three days . I want to know one smart cart is enough for all of us or every person must have one? and also is it cheaper for us in 3 days travel to buy smart card or thicket for every transportation?
