About:Chinese Embassy in Cambodia

Visa to hongkong and shanghai

Hello sir, i am Cambodian citizen and i have two concerns to ask.

First one, i will be visiting Hongkong on the 13th June. I wonder when is the appropriate time for me to apply for it, and is the application form the same or different between mainland and HongKong? How long will it take for the whole processing?

Second, in July, i will have another visit to Beijing, but my flight will stop in shanghai for a long layover. Will i be permitted to visit shanghai in case i apply for one to mainland? in other word, do i need extra entry to shanghai?

I hope to hear from you real soon,
Thank you so much for your help.
Best,

You need to apply asap from Chinese embassy. HK has different forms that you can get from the embassy. Generally, it takes 4 working days for processing, but it will be about one month if your application will be sent to HK for approval.

If you have Chinese visa to Beijing, it is enough for you to visit Beiojing, and Shanghai as well.

Thank you so much for your reply. I'm truly appreciated. Well, I will be visiting HongKong for only 4 days. In this case, will my form be sending to HK for approval? Hope to hear from you.

Sorry, I have no idea. It's the Chinese embassy and the HK Immigration Department that deal with this matter.
