About:China Visa on Arrival

Dutch and hold a visa. Can my daughter accompany me and get one in Shanghai?

We have no 4 days to get it in the Netherlands anymore. And it seems not possible to get it during our trip in San Francisco. We fly from SF to Shanghai. Can she get one on arrival. I have an invite letter.

By the way, I am holding an F and we stay 6 days.
Or would there be a way to get one in San Francisco although we are not US citizens?

Your daughter can not get it upon arrival, but it is possible for her to get one in San Francisco if she will have valid US visa.

She holds an electronic US visa, but the embassy website indicates that a proof of residency is required. No option for electronic one (for tourist purposes).
Is that correct?

If we can not get it in SF or in Shanghai. is then the only alternative to get one in Hong Kong?

Yes, to apply in HK is easier for her.
