About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Do I qualify for the free transit?

1. Flying to S. Korea, staying for 11 days then flying to Beijing and staying for 72 hours before coming back to Los Angeles.

2. If the flight is delayed due to the airline or etc. and not the passenger, is the passenger still required to get one?

You are qualify for this free transit. If the flight is delayed due to the airline or etc. you are able to apply for a visa from Exit&Enter Administration and Beijing PSB.

Do you know if there is a charge for the application if flights are delayed due to the airline and not passenger? Makes no sense if you ask me since it is not the passenger's fault.

Yes, there is a charge. But I don't think the airline will pay for it. You can contact beijing airport service center directly for confirmation of this. Tel: 0086-10-56095400
