exit and entry visa from China to the Uk

My daughter was born in China 2 months ago, I would like to bring her home to the uk. I am a British subject her mother is Chinese, my daughter is therefore British by descent. Do I need to have her uk passport for her to travel or can she travel on a exit and entry one?

You need to bring her passport and apply for a visa for her at the local entry and exit management bureau. Then you can bring her back to UK.

Thanks Steve that is a great help, have you any idea how long the exit and entry one lasts for and how long it takes to have it issued by any chance ? don't worry if you don't know as we will find out when we collect it.

As I know, the processing will take five working days. Sorry, I have no idea how long it lasts for after issue date.
