It is said that Jade Emperor's elephant got sick when they travel to the south, so the elephant was left near Li River. Later, the elephant was taken carefully by the local people, so it recovered soon. In order to reward the local people and attracted by the beautiful scenery, the elephant decided to help the local people for daily farm work. However, the Jade Emperor did not allowed and sent army to take the elephant back. Fights arised because the elephant did not want to go back to the heaven. After seven days's fights, the elephant was tired and thirsty, so it went to drink along the Li River. When it was drinking, it was killed and its body did not fall. Then it became a hill.
