how to apply for a certificate of marriageablility?

My partner, (Chinese citizen) and I (British citizen) are currently discussing marriage, and I am wondering how to apply for a certificate of marriageability. I believe this is one of the documents I will need to present when we apply for a marriage certificate. In addition I have never previously been married.Thanks and kind regards

Hi, if you want to get married in China and register your marriage here, a Single Status Certificate / No Record of Marriage Certificate is required. I don't think you can get it from the UK embassy in Beijing. Please contact your family for help, as I know, it should be issued by the State Office which you were resident in UK.
