About:China Visa Application Procedure and Fee

Can I use the 24 hour free stay permit if I only leave the airport for less than 24 hours, but the stopover is 31 hours?

Sorry, you can not do it because you stay more than 24 hours in the airport. Which airport will you land? The 72 hours free transit policy has been implemented in Beijing and Shanghai Airports. You might enjoy the 72 hours free transit if you land at Beijing or Shanghai Airport.
