Multi entry visa without proof of leaving/re-entering China?

Can I apply for a double/multi L without having proof (e.g. tickets) that I will be leaving and then re-entering? I am hoping to visit Vietnam while staying in Guangxi, but would be looking at buying tickets while in Guangxi. Thanks.

First of all, it is impossible to get a multiple entry L if you are visiting for the first time. A double entry one is possible, but you are required to provide travel schedule, proof such as tickets for leaving and re-entering. Anyway, you can confirm this directly with CVASC via 0207 710 6000.
