About:Entry Regulations of China

My daughter has allergy to shellfish or anything oils that shellfish has been cooked in..

She is traveling to China with her husband for one month. She is afraid to eat there as her husband reports that most everydish incorporates shellfish or fish. Do you think that she could bring pouches of freeze dried food so that she will be able to eat while in China ? Would customs in China allow her to bring it?

She can take some for self-use, not too much. She may also need to declare it.
