Would we qualify for free visa entry holding British Passports?

Anticipating a cruise flying from UK to Beijing. After a 2 night stay in the city we embark the ship visiting South Korea and Japan (12 days), returning to Beijing by ship and flying back to UK. Would this be classed as double entry.?
