About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Multi stops fly to China! Can I enjoy 72 hours free transit?

Hello I need your help!! I'm looking for information online but impossible to find something relative to my specific situation.

Right now, I'm in South Korea as en exchange student and I'm planning to book multi stops tickets online, I mean 3 distincts direct flights but in the same online reservation:

Seoul - Hong Kong (04/24) then Hong Kong - Shanghai (04/28) and finally Shanghai - Seoul (04/30)

So concerning Shanghai ( not same departure and final destination) it is not a round trip, BUT since it is 3 directs flights, I can not determine if I am eligible or not for the 72h TRANSIT visa.. So it will be a direct fly from Hong Kong to Shanghai, there, I can show them that I'm leaving in less than 50hours with a new direct fly to Seoul... Can it be considered as a transit or not...?
I 'm really afraid about being blocked in the airport...

Thank you for your help!!!

Personally, I think you are eligible for the 72 hours free transit at the Shanghai Airport. If you are still worried, you may call Shanghai Airport Immigration Inspection at 0086-21-51105100 to confirm it.
