extension of F in Shanghai

I am based in Shanghai. I have an 90 day double entry F that is due to expire soon. I have already used my re entrance and so it is about to completely end. Can i extent this F without going to HK? I heard longest is a month? what is it based on. can i get more days?

What documents do I need to bring to show my necessity to stay. I am currently in my probation period in a new job and they will get me a Z for work after the probation period, but my current F will run out before this, so was thinking of trying to get an extension.

Hi, you can apply for F extension, but you have to get an F invitation letter by hosting organisation/company first, as well as a copy of the company's business/enterprise license. This company should be the same that got you out here. About the duration, is should be based on the invitation.
Other basic documents needed for extension are:
1. A recent 2-inch photo with white or light blue background
2. Application Form with seal of hosting company
3. Registration Form of Temporary Residence in Shanghai
4. Passport with current F

Generally, the processing take five working days. But I don't think the officers will accept your application if you have invitation from a different company.

So do you have to give it at least 5 days before the old one expires? or can you give it on the last day?

Is 1 month the longest extention? how to guarnetee this
